The network of Asia and Pacific Producers (NAPP) recently initiated a 02-day Soccer ball match in Lahore, Pakistan, from 28th to 29th December 2019. The match included an exposure trip for the players and coaching by professional Brazilian coaches.

Soccer is a beloved game played worldwide yet the work involved in the making of these balls is far removed from the joy of the game. Therefore, the objective of the activity was to provide an opportunity to the talented children’s belonging to Fairtrade Sports-ball workers involved in the stitching or manufacturing of the world-class sports balls production, to brush up their talents by professional coaching.

30 children belonging to workers from 05 Sports ball factories were taken on an exposure trip on Tour bus followed by the distribution of sports kits on the first day.

Professional training was provided on the second day by the Brazilian coaches. The training ended with a round of actual sports ball matches between the players, certification distribution and other fun activities. It was received as a great learning platform for the kids by the producer organizations.

Mr. Malik Jameel, Former Chairperson NAPP, Fairtrade Pakistan Network appreciated Fairtrade for their
